R.I.P Dad

Today I’m writing this blog as a tribute to my dad Sam, who died today 9 years ago December 14th, 1998. :( It’s really crazy how fast time has passed and how far I’ve come since then. Even though you’re gone, I believe it is the reason I’ve become who I am today, and who I believe is a wonderful person who has a lot going on for her. Opportunities I never believed I could have at such a young age has happened to me and I swear these things come to me when I think things can’t get better, or when things are getting bad and I start worrying and getting depressed. I swear you throw things my way to help me. I’ve came a long way and I wish you were here with me, but everything happens for a reason. It’s really hard to believe sometimes that you’re gone. I miss you and I wish I could tell you all the wonderful things about my life and knew how proud you were of me. I’m pretty sure you are proud though. I know I’ve made some mistakes, but as for some people I actually learn from them. I consider myself a very giving person and have taken care of Amber and I since you left. I know you’re watching down on me. Even though I don’t think about you everyday, you’ll still always be in my heart. I love you and miss you. I hope heavens great and I can’t wait to see you again. Keep watching over me and thanks. :)

Now for those reading this, you are probably wondering how he died. He died of a heart attack at work in his truck. Before he went to lunch, he was complaining of heart burn so he went to his truck to lay down. It was time to go back to work & he worked with his brother and he hadn’t came back yet - so his brother went to get him and he found him dead. I was 9 years old in 4th grade. We ended up burying him a day before my birthday December 18th. It was all really a shock and very sudden, everything happened so fast. So this time of the year is always a little bit rough. Nothing has been the same since he left but I’m still going and life does go on.
